Indonesian Fenomenal in Twitter’s Trending Topics

Yesterday, Rana and Marsha, who was two Indonesian students, suddenly became “star” on Twitter. Everybody was talking about them in their Tweets (Twitter update status) until their name stayed in Twitter’s Trending Topics. Another hot topics like iPad and Google Buzz was defeated by these two “Twitter Stars”.

Rana, Junior High School student in Jakarta, the blasphemy began since she wrote a status update about the insult of Blackberry user. She said that this gadget was like a villagers or we can say in informal Indonesian languange “alay”. Whereas, Marsha, a private Senior High School student in Jakarta insulted general school and she’s got insult back. Previously, she had “words fighting” or debate by her tweets to another account Twitter called “WordLoveForUs”. Marsha didn’t like this tweets which was posted by this Twitter user. She said that this user was too over in showing her emotion and seems looked like a weak people.

I think we should take it easy on receive any words of people say. Everybody is free to show her feeling, emotion, like or dislike of something. If they don’t like about it, don’t be so over look of the problem if they are not one of them, like Rana’s problem. If the users of Blackberry is not “alay”, they haven’t feel angry or showing their dislike about what Rana says. If they don’t like it they should talk it calmly and don’t make it such a big problem like happen in few month ago. It’s the same for Marsha’s problem. For a big community of Twitter user, WordLoveForUs, shouldn’t manipulate of Marsha status which talk the negative of this user. Maybe Marsha just wanna give some advice to this user because maybe in her mind, the words which is wrote by WordLoveForUs, can make somebody’s heart desperate and bring his mood down of it’s words.

Even there’s so many words that we can share in public media, like Facebook or Twitter, but we just need to strain it to make it sounds good or don’t make anybody feel offended. So that, as a human beeing that have brain and mind, we still need to think about another human in order to make our social life better. In Rana’s problem, she don’t think twice before she acts. She’d better think wider and not involve the things that everybody use it generally. Maybe she wanted to tell that Blackberry user was too general, because it is use in any level, from low class untill high class people. But, the problem was most of Twitter user is Blackberry user, anybody can see about what she wrotes. For a while it doesn’t seem to be a big problem, but I think, the words she says is too frontal to write in public.

It’s the same as Rana, Marsha is getting involve in another Twitter’s problem. She confrontate with WordLoveForUs account which has so many followers that maybe like about love word created by this account. Marsha mistakes is she was too brave to tell about the fact that she feels about this Twitter account. Ofcourse that the owner of this account dislike about what Marsha wrote on her status about WordLoveForUs. Besides that, Marsha was insulted the general school because the followers of WordLoveForUs said that she’s “alay”. So, she show off that her parents can get her in to private school and she insulted the general school. It’s same as Rana that Marsha was too frontal in public.

There’s so many words we can tell, we can speak, we can share and any other that can show us our feeling to the other. But as human beeing, we still need to think about the impact of what we say in front of many people. Twitter is one of popular public place that so many people can share anything and everything. But we need to think about what we say in public or we can a problem that not only have a problem with the other but it can involve justice of law in Indonesia. For example Rana and Marsha, they get a big problem just because of few words that she said. But maybe it was too frontal so it can make anybody feel angry about what she said.
Maybe, for the last words, I recommend that we have to keep our mouth or words carefully, because our tongue can be sharper that a sword.
